Brad Parrott is a construction industry trial lawyer with extensive trial experience in state, federal, administrative and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States. A veteran of more than 50 trials and arbitrations, Mr. Parrott is frequently asked to parachute into complex or high stakes matters to take over as lead trial counsel. He represents ENR top 400 general contractors, specialty contractors, design professionals, owners and developers throughout the United States in all facets of the construction life cycle. Mr. Parrott serves as national litigation counsel for several large companies managing and leading their litigated matters. Brad’s experience as lead counsel involves litigated disputes throughout the United States in federal courts, state courts, American Arbitration Association, JAMS, ASBCA, CBCA, Court of Claims and private ADR dispute proceedings. His work includes disputes involving a broad range of project types and delivery methods. Mr. Parrott also serves as lead counsel for the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts including GMP, design-build, DBO, CMAA, CMAR and EPC agreements across a variety of market sectors including sports arenas, hospitals, power generation, infrastructure, water/wastewater, correctional institutions, education, multi-family, municipal, manufacturing, commercial, retail offices and institutional. A significant portion of Mr. Parrott’s practice involves representing Federal Government Contractors as both project counsel and disputes counsel. Brad and the HLP team have an intimate knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) governing most Federal Construction Projects. Mr. Parrott has led internal investigations and defended civil allegations of violations of the False Claims Act.
Related to his construction practice, Mr. Parrott is frequently requested to defend large catastrophic insured claims by both individual insurers and syndicated domestic and global insurance towers. He is also frequently engaged by insurance carriers to serve as trial counsel in high-risk cases.
Mr. Parrott is the son of a general contractor and grew up working on construction sites. He is married to a fellow lawyer and they have one daughter who is in college. When not working, Brad enjoys the outdoors and spending time on the golf course.

Arbitrated to award construction dispute relating to the construction of a hotel in Atlanta. Award was significantly lower than the client offered to settle a mediation and was less than 50% of the amount sought by the plaintiff contractor. (2025)
Lead counsel in multiparty, multi-suit, personal injury and property damage claims for large general contractor. Cases related to a student housing project adjacent to the campus of the University of Alabama. HLP took over the case after it had been pending for four (4) years and provided the leadership needed to resolve allclaims using an extensive and innovative ADR process. (2025)

Tried to verdict personal injury case in Gwinnett County, Georgie defending specialty contractor in an admitted liability case. Verdict rendered was proximately $400,000 lower than the final settlement offer, $2,500,000 lower than the lowest settlement offer of Plaintiff and more than $15,000,000 lower than what the Plaintiff asked the Gwinnett County jury to award. Arbitrated case to award on behalf of a general contractor for a amusement park project in northern California. Client was awarded100% of its contract balance and defeated all claims of LDs from the Owner. Further, our client was awarded costs and attorney fees. (2024)
Tried to verdict a construction dispute infederal court in Arizona for a specialty contractor from Colorado. Verdict including a recovery of all contractmonies due our client and defeated more than 90% of the counterclaims broughtby the general contractor. (2023)
